Once Upon a Time…

Once upon a time, I poured my heart and soul into a company. Countless hours were invested, filled with blood, sweat, and tears. I devoted more of my thoughts and energy to this endeavor than I’d care to confess. Yet, despite my unwavering commitment, things just didn’t turn out as I had hoped.

I woke up early for this company, participating in 8 a.m. conference calls and traveling extensively on its behalf. I even welcomed this company into my home, sharing it with my friends, family, and loved ones, believing wholeheartedly that it valued me and was genuinely committed to making a positive impact.

I poured more of myself into this company than I ever thought possible, convinced it was destined to contribute to a better world.

But the truth hit hard: this company didn’t care about me at all. Not even a little bit. They paid me less than a livable wage and showed no concern for my hopes, dreams, or aspirations. That’s the nature of this company—it seeks out individuals to exploit, disregarding their well-being, consuming them with little thought or compassion.

I’ve come to understand, often through difficult experiences, that certain companies are indifferent to your well-being, your financial future, and even your essential needs. Their primary focus seems to be capitalizing on your struggles, your desires, and any untreated mental health challenges you may face. They show little regard for how you manage to put food on the table or whom you need to support. In essence, their concern is solely for their own interests, with no real understanding or desire to consider the impact on anyone within your sphere.

This is my story relating to those struggles. I hope you enjoy this honest blog and take more caution in life than I ever did.
